John Stratikis (Trikala, Greece, 24 august 2012)

Dear sir, I would like some info and prices for a declaration of conformity for importation of olive oil from Greece to Russia.

Irina, CC «Rostest», ,

Dear John,

For export to Russia olive oils you have obtain Conformity Document (Conformity certificate or Conformity Declaration) according to Russian Federal Law of June 24, 2008 N 90-FZ «Technical regulations for oil and fat products».

So, you can choose yourself the form of Document — Declaration or Certificate. Both documents have the same legal effect (see example of documents).

For obtaining certificate for oil, it is needed Contract for delivery. The Declaration/certificate contains information about russian importer of products and number of contract. Therefore every your russian distributor has to have own declaration. Such requirement is for controlling the quality of foreign food products on the territory of Russian Federation. In case of poor quality of product or complaint from consumers, our contol bodies can apply to certain russian importer, who is carried over this product to Russia. So, he takes some responsibility for the imported products.

Documents for the homologation:
specification of product (composition), label (in russian) for each type of oil;
contract for delivery, information about importer;
national/international quality certificates, test reports, certificate of origin, ISO, HACCP (that you have).

If the producer has subsidiaries, we name it in declaration. The validity of document is from 1 to 5 year. The information about costs we sent you by e-mail. Time of issuing is 3-4 days after getting documents and payment + delivery time from Russia to Greece is about 3 days.

If you have questions, ask me freely,
We’re glad to assist you in homologation questions,
Best regards.
